AAUW Racine WI Branch Scholarships

Each year, Racine AAUW awards scholarships to a Racine County woman who is entering the first or second semester of her junior or senior year at a our-year accredited, degree-granting college or university and a Racine County woman entering her third or fourth semester at a two-year college the following fall. Scholarships will range in amount from $500 to $4,000 depending on academic status and need.

BigSun Scholarship

The BigSun Organization is proud to be able to continue to help young athletes succeed in their academic pursuits. They are offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving student. All student athletes are eligible for this award, regardless of which sport they are participating in. Their participation may be in any capacity, whether as a player, coach or official. The successful applicant will be a high school senior or be attending a post secondary institute and currently involved in some sport at that institution or in the community.

Culver's Foundation Scholarship

The Culver’s Foundation Scholarship Program helps a broad range of Culver’s team members attend college through academic merit and need-based scholarships. Since the inception, the Scholarship Program has awarded over $5 million in scholarships to more than 3,000 Culver’s team members. For the upcoming academic year, over $500,000 in scholarships will be distributed with individual scholarship amounts ranging from $1,500 - $3,000 each. The awards recognize well-rounded individuals who demonstrate ambition and academic excellence. Financial need is taken into consideration when determining the amount of scholarship awarded.

To be considered eligible, you must:

  • Be employed at Culver's at least one year as of January 1, 2020.
  • Have worked at Culver's at least 500 hours from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
  • Have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Plans to enroll in any accredited undergraduate program at a 2 or 4 year college, university, or technical/vocational school in the 2020/21 academic year. 
  • Be employed with Culver's at the time of the scholarship announcements (May 2020)

The Edwin E. and Janet L. Bryant Foundation, Inc. Scholarship Program

The Edwin E. and Janet L. Bryant Foundation, Inc. has established a scholarship program to assist former students of select Wisconsin communities’ high schools listed below. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time or part-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

The Bryant Foundation has chosen to offer the program in all Wisconsin communities where Nelson Industries, Inc. had manufacturing plant locations, including Stoughton, which was the corporate headquarters for the company until its sale in 1998. Edwin E. Bryant, a benefactor of the Bryant Foundation, was founder, chairman and CEO of Nelson Industries, Inc. until his death in 1972. Nelson Industries, Inc. continued to be a very successful company and the Bryant Foundation board wishes to acknowledge the importance of all the locations that helped in the company’s success by offering scholarships in these communities.

This program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. ExtremeTerrain’s Student Scholarship

ExtremeTerrain is offering two $2,500 scholarships, one for the fall semester and one for the spring semester to eligible undergraduate college/university students and high school seniors who are pursuing a Biology or a related degree in Environmental Studies. Students will need to submit a 700 – 1500 word essay that describes who you are, why you feel it is important to maintain access to public lands for recreational use and how you plan to use your degree to advocate for the recreational use of public lands.

Mercyhealth Association of Volunteers High School Student Scholarship

The Mercy Health System Association of Volunteers, Inc. has designated $16,000 in scholarships funds in 2020 that will be ranging from $500-$1,000 for each scholarship recipient.  

  • The scholarship is for students that live in Rock or Walworth Counties in Wisconsin or McHenry County in Illinois, as these are counties that the Volunteer Services Offices serve.
  • The scholarship is for students who are planning on entering the medical field.
  • Students need to have volunteer service hours within their community.
  • Students are required to have an above average grade point average.
  • Students will be required to write an essay about volunteering and are encouraged to include their need for the scholarship funds.

Morgan Exteriors Scholarship

Morgan Exteriors is awarding one lucky student a $1,500 scholarship.


  • Full-time, U.S. undergraduate seeking a degree in marketing, business management, sales or related field.
  • Must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and provide a copy of their school transcript.
  • Submit an original 900 – 1,600 word essay entitled “Morgan Exteriors Scholarship.” The paper must be signed with the student’s full name and .edu email address.
  • Agree to permit Morgan Exteriors to publish your essay (whether a winner or not) in their Blog post. Credit will be given to the writer, unless requested otherwise.

SFM Foundation Scholarships

SFM Foundation scholarships may be used toward the costs of attending a two-year or four-year university, college or vocational school. To qualify, students must have a parent who was disabled or fatally injured while working for Minnesota or Iowa employers. Scholarships are awarded up to a maximum of $10,000 a year, and are renewable for two years for a 2-year program, and up to 5 years for a bachelor’s degree.

Thomas B. Jones and Grace Stevenson Jones Scholarship

The Thomas B. Jones and Grace Stevenson Jones Charitable Foundation awards academic scholarships to students from Grant, Iowa & Lafayette Counties, Wisconsin. Since 1989, the Foundation has awarded nearly $2 million in scholarships to deserving students in order to assist them in pursuing higher education. These scholarship funds are administered by First Midwest Bank, a northern Illinois based bank with branches throughout Illinois, Indiana and Iowa.

To be eligible for a Thomas B. Jones and Grace Stevenson Jones scholarship, you must:

  • Reside in Grant County, Iowa County or Lafayette County, Wisconsin.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited 4-year university or college at the time the scholarship award is paid (ifyou change schools following selection but before payments – in August and December – you mustadvise First Midwest Bank for a determination that the scholarship is transferrable to the new school)

Credit Sesame Financial Literacy Scholarship

Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship

The Michael Moody Fitness Scholarship offers $1,500 to a high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, participation and leadership in school activities and work experience, and interest in pursuing a career in the health and fitness related fields. The student may apply and use the money for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. The scholarship is sponsored by Michael Moody Fitness.

Milwaukee Art Museum Garden Club Scholarship

A merit based scholarship of $2,000 will be awarded to a college student pursuing the study of horticulture or plant sciences (such as floriculture, landscape design, botany, agronomy, plant pathology, environmental concerns, or related studies). Paradigm Building Group Scholarship

The 2020 Paradigm Building Group Scholarship Program was developed to support and encourage students interested in the areas of interior design, architecture, civil engineering, building construction, construction management and construction technology. $500 is awarded annually to one student who meets the following requirements:

Wisconsin Laboratory Association 2020 Scholarships

The Wisconsin Laboratory Association is offering two $1,000 scholarships for 2020. To be considered, students who meet the following requirements:

  1. Applicants must be one of the following at an accredited college or university having completed at least one semester of classes:
    A. Technical Student
    B. Undergraduate Student
    C. Graduate Student
  2. All applicants must be enrolled in a curriculum that will enable them to pursue a career in a non-medical laboratory related field and have a 3.0 or higher Grade Point Average. (ex. cannot be pre-medicine, pre-veterinary, etc.)
  3. All applicants MUST submit the following three pieces of information to the Scholarship Committee to be considered:
    A. A completed WLA application form.
    B. A current transcript from the school the student is presently attending.
    C. Two letters of recommendation from the student’s instructors.

Wisconsin Medical Society Scholarships

The purpose of the Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation Scholarship Program is to provide assistance to outstanding students who will fill Wisconsin’s health care workforce needs in the future. A majority of the funds are available to students enrolled in medical school in Wisconsin with preference to those considered Wisconsin residents and those who demonstrate a desire to practice in Wisconsin upon completing their training. Limited funds are also available for students pursuing other health careers. The Scholarship Program includes several named scholarship and award funds that are administered according to the wishes of the individual or organization that established the fund.
